Generating leads is the most important part of building an MLM downline. Without them, your business withers. If it was going well though, I doubt you would be reading this. Its probably been something like this:

When you were presented with the MLM Company, you liked the idea of residual income so you joined. You figured it can’t be too hard. However your prospecting wasn’t nearly as successful as you hoped. Nobody would join or listen to you even when you followed your upline’s instructions to the letter.

Sound familiar? That was my first few months of Network marketing. But I found someone who taught me why Nobody was listening. It’s because I was telling them they’d be successful when I hadn’t achieved success myself! Worse, Much Worse, I didn’t know how to be successful.

Your prospects want to join a leader and expert who can teach them to succeed. (wouldn’t you?) Once I understood this, I spent almost a year learning everything I could about generating leads. When I was done, I had something to offer my prospects: Expert knowledge and a system that worked.

I still think about the first time I produced a lead. Relief was my first reaction, Empowerment was my next. I had a functional system for producing leads, and the knowledge to help them succeed. That’s what my prospects wanted so that’s what I offered. Without it, very few people will join you.

Knowing what you need is half the battle, The other half is getting it. Because prospects want you to be an expert and have a system, that’s what you must have.
